Having used many different mediums over the years I have been particularly pleased with the work I have produced using Acrylics and have realised I must practise using only Acrylics in order to Master the Medium.

When I paint, I am enveloped into the artwork. Sometimes I do not know what I will paint when I start. I look at the canvas, wonder what the result will be, and am filled with excitement and unknowing. The images come with each layer of paint. Other times I have an idea, a concept that appears from something  in everyday life or a feeling, or thought I get and I work with that in mind.  I see art in the world around me whether it is a beautiful mountain or people grafting in everyday life, and create images in my own understanding.

My art is not limited to a particular look or feel and it has been said on more than one occasion I have different styles.  My paintings are created by how I feel about the subject and how I want to communicate my feelings about it. If I had a particular fixed style then I would be constricted by what I paint.

Painting is about exploration, discovery and learning.  It is a journey into my own artistic ability and creativeness; how I perceive the world and how I reiterate that onto the canvas for others to see.
